Dubai's bus stations are getting a significant facelift for Expo 2020
There will be 14 new stations and a new depot in Al Quoz
Expo 2020 is less than two years away, and Dubai is gearing up to handle the mass influx of visitors that it will bring. To that end, the RTA has announced plans for the installation of new bus routes and stations to accommodate all the extra people.
On Saturday, the RTA’s Board of Executive Directors approved the designs for 14 brand new bus stations to be install around Dubai, and they look pretty cool:

Out of the 14 stations, Business Bay, Jebel Ali and Al Baraha will see permanent fixtures, while five temporary stations will be installed at Dubai Silicon Oasis, Global Village, Meydan, Palm Jumeirah and Al Jaddaf.
Six existing stations will also be upgraded in line with the new designs, including Etisalat, Union Square and Al Ghubaiba. The stations at Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai International Airport will both also receive a facelift.
As well as the stations themselves, a new bus depot will also be built in Al Quoz to act as an additional hub for the Dubai Bus network.
