Eid Al Fitr holiday for UAE private sector announced
This isn’t the news we were hoping for…
The UAE government has declared that the Eid Al Fitr holiday for private sector workers will be on the first and second days of Shawwal, 1439 Hijri, from Friday, June 15 till Saturday, June 16.
So sadly, for those that have normal weekends off, it’s not looking like a long weekend.

For public sector workers, according to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, the holiday will begin on Thursday, and last until the third day of Shawwal.
This means if Eid falls on Friday, June 15, as expected, the holiday will last until Sunday, June 17 (with public sector workers back in the office on Monday).
