Four-day holiday announced for Dubai schools over Eid Al Fitr
With the possibility of a fifth day off to still be announced…
Ramadan is nearly over, and whilst we wait for the first day of Eid Al Fitr to be officially announced, Dubai’s school kids can ready themselves for an upcoming four-day weekend.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority announced via Twitter that all schools in Dubai will be closed from Thursday, June 14 until Sunday, June 17, with the possibility of Monday, June 18 also being off depending on the Eid announcement.
You can sleep late on Thursday and Sunday
Because school’s closed – it’s the #Eid holiday!
Have a great time however you choose
But remember to keep checking the news

When one Twitter user cheekily asked for a five-day weekend, the KHDA responded with the following sassy answer which we can’t help but agree with.
Maybe when you start writing words in full. ?

Currently, only the public sector holidays have been announced for Eid, which will begin on Thursday, June 14 and last until the third day of Shawwal. We are still awaiting for official word on the private sector.
