The new scheme covers the media and education sectors in Media City and Knowledge Park…
Great news for Dubai’s freelancers – free zone operator TECOM Group has announced that it will be greatly reducing the cost of registration and licensing fees of its Go Freelance initiative.
The scheme, which covers freelancers in the media and education sectors at Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Park, will see a 70 per cent cut to registration fees, dropping them to just Dhs7,500 a year.
For the first time in #Dubai you can go #freelance with just 3 easy steps and for AED 7500. That’s it. A new freelance package to give you what you need to support an independent future.

According to an official statement, the roles covered under Go Freelance include intelligent education consultant, management coach, lighting specialist, furniture designer, animation specialist, commercial market analyst and others.
“The package provides a unique opportunity for media and creative professionals to achieve success and prosperity within the unmatched Dubai Media City business system, which provides advanced infrastructure and a platform for entry into neighbouring markets,” said Dubai Media City general manager Majid Al Suwaidi.
While the package is separate to any visa costs that may be incurred, it is ultimately designed to entice more freelancers to Dubai, making the city a more attractive place for them to work.
