A new eco-friendly petrol station has opened up in Al Barsha
The solar-powered station will feed any excess power generated back into the grid…
Good news for residents of Al Barsha, a new ENOC petrol station has opened up in the neighbourhood.
This will come as a massive relief to motorists who typically spend far too much of their precious time in queues at existing stations in the area waiting to fill their tanks.
The new station comes with the added bonus of being eco-friendly, thanks to its self-sufficient solar-powered setup, and offers a range of automotive services including electric car charging facilities, digital displays and smart metering, in addition to its eight fuel pumps.
This morning, we have officially opened our latest service station, which is located in Al Barsha, as part of our plans to build 54 new service stations by 2020 ⛽ #InspiringEnergy pic.twitter.com/sTiG7AOC23

Equipped with several energy-saving technologies, the station deploys Vapor Recovery Systems (VPR) to prevent and control emission, while ful LED lights reduce energy consumption by 50 per cent. All this, plus the solar panels feed any excess power generated back into DEWA’s main grid for maximum green-ness.
As for mod cons, customers can take advantage of the drive-thru ATM, or purchase F&B from the on-site Starbucks, Pronto and ZOOM outlets.
ENOC has plans to launch a further 54 new service stations across Dubai by 2020.
