Dusty weather sweeps across Dubai
It’s probably a good week to stay indoors…
If you’ve looked out of a window over the last couple of days you’ll have noticed that Dubai is currently going through a bit of a dusty spell. If you’ll pardon the understatement.
Unfortunately it looks like we’re in it for the long haul as the UAE’s weather department National Center of Meteorology (NMC) has announced that the dusty and hazy weather is expected to continue throughout the week.

Temperatures across the UAE are expected to hit highs of 49-degrees with a humidity of 80-per cent in coastal areas.

The potential for sandstorms is also high, thanks to the dust suspended in the air and wind speeds expected to reach upwards of 40km/hr on Monday.
And if that wasn’t enough, the NMC has said that there might even be the possibility of rain later in the afternoon as “some low clouds will appear over the east coast with a chance of convective rain clouds formation by afternoon, which may also extend to some internal areas,”

Tuesday also looks to be more of the same, with dusty weather to continue and further chances of scattered showers.
The NMC has urged residents to take care, particularly while driving, as visibility will be limited to between 2,000 to 3,000 metres across the country.
