The new rule applies strictly to carry-on baggage, and the airline has advised its customers to place any powdered substance over this amount in their checked bags.
The new security measures are in line with new guidelines issued by the US Transport Security Administration, the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs and the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand.
