New flyovers to ease traffic in and out of International City
The new entry and exit points will officially open on July 14…
The RTA has announced that two long-awaited flyovers designed to help with the flow of traffic in and out of Dubai International City will finally be open to the public this weekend.
Able to handle a capacity of 1,000 vehicles per hour, the new entry and exit points will come as a huge relief to residents living in the area who can often get stuck in crippling traffic during morning and evening rush hours.
The opening of Improvement of Al Awir Road and Entrances of International City Project (Phase I) will take place on July 14. For more details, visit: https://t.co/OuTQlDLinJ pic.twitter.com/o7FVIQQ7dD

This is phase one of a larger, multi-million dirham project being built in collaboration with property developer Nakheel, and its launch on Saturday, July 14 will give motorists better access to Al Awir Road (E44) heading in both the direction of Hatta and Downtown Dubai.
Looks like a roadtrip to Dragon Mart might be in order for the weekend…
