New hail and ride bus service launched in the capital
The free service will run daily out of the Mussafa Town bus terminal…
The Department of Transport (DoT) launched a new bus service in Abu Dhabi on Sunday that should make commuting around the capital a lot easier for residents.
Branded ‘hail and ride’, the new service is free to use during its current pilot phase that runs out of the Mussafa Town bus terminal.

While not a typical bus (they’re more like larger mini vans), the smaller feeder vehicles will carry passengers to between the bus terminal and remote bus stops in Abu Dhabi and the surrounding suburbs. The service will be available daily from 6am to 10pm within specific routes.
The DoT hopes that the hail and ride busses will help improve the public transport network in Abu Dhabi.
