Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced it will now allow motorists to apply for seasonal parking cards via the RTA Dubai App.

The new “smart” passes will allow seasonal parking card holders to activate a parking space for their vehicle at any time, as well as more efficiently manage their account.

As seasonal parking pass gives motorists the ability to pay a three-, six- or 12-month fee that allows them to park almost anywhere in Dubai without needing to make payment at a parking meter every time.

“The underlying objective of the new service is to abolish the manual transfer of the seasonal card from a vehicle to another when using public parking.” said Eng. Maitha bin Adai, CEO of RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency in an official statement.

“Replacing the manual process with a smart service made available 24/7 through RTA Dubai App, will save the time and effort of users and avails them a chance to select the vehicle using the parking. The smart service will add to the satisfaction and happiness of parking users.” he added.
