The first hyperloop office outside of the US will be in Dubai
The dream of a 12-minute commute between Dubai and Abu Dhabi draws ever closer…
The high-speed mass transit system known as Hyperloop has the potential to revolutionise the way humans travel and the UAE has long been at the centre of global plans to get it off the ground.
And now it has been confirmed by officials at Virgin Hyperloop One (the Richard Branson-backed company) that an office will be set up in Dubai in the near future.
As reported by CNN, this will be the first such office outside of the United States which is what makes it such a big deal – really cementing the UAE as a global hub for the future of transportation.

Back in May, Virgin Hyperloop One unveiled a joint venture with DP World to build a global cargo network using the technology that will be able to transport goods anywhere in the world in just 48 hours.
Other plans for the tech reportedly include a link between Dubai and Abu Dhabi that will transport passengers at up to 1,200kph along a vacuum-sealed track for a travel time of just 12 minutes.
Currently, there is no timeline on when the system might start rolling out as the RTA is in the process of carrying out feasibility studies.
