It’s by the same people behind the ever-popular Din Tai Fung…

Described as a ‘trendy Asian fusion gastropub’, Han Shi Fui is set to open its doors in the coming weeks in Aloft City Centre Deira.

Although few details of the new restaurant are being given away at this time, it’s brought to you by the people behind the packed-out Din Tai Fung, so we’ve got some pretty high expectations.

Split into multiple dining areas, the vibrant space promises a ‘unique mood and atmosphere’ at each. As well as restaurant dining, there will be a more casual bar area where diners can perch up for a pre or post dinner drink.

First look renders indicate a playfully designed space, which will be kitted out with painted Chinese scrolls, colourful ceramic wall decorations and dimly lit, neon-hued lighting.

Mixed up gold cutlery and bright plate settings will service a menu of traditional dishes executed with a modern twist. On the menu, expect plates of crystal ray crab dumplings, charcoal gold dust umami Bao’s and matcha green tea velvet cake.

The licensed venue will also have a big focus on the bar, with film-inspired cocktails taking centre stage, alongside a light-bites bar menu of soy butter popcorn and ramen burgers. For a livelier vibe, expect a DJ to take up deck duty several nights a week too.
