WATCH: Trapped whale shark rescued from Dubai Creek

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment together with Dubai Police and the Marine Environment Protection Association helps a trapped whale shark make its way back to the Arabian Gulf after it lost its way and swam into Dubai Creek.
The three-metre long creature was spotted in Dubai Creek near the Al Jaddaf area, reported Gulf News, and it took a team of trained divers from the MOCCAE’s Biodiversity Department to coax it safely back out to open waters.
Hiba Al Shehhi, Acting Director of the Biodiversity Department at MOCCAE, said: “I thank everyone who was involved in the rescue operation. The collaboration among the teams was exemplary and saved the scared baby shark.”
