Mindfulness workshop
Drift Beach at The One&Only Royal Mirage is hosting a one-off mindfulness event this month. Participants have a choice of a 40-minute HITT workout slot, at either 8am or 9am, followed by breakfast and a workshop with mindfulness expert Shazia Hussain. The workshop focuses on managing stress and anxiety, culminating in a 15-minute Q&A session.

Full moon singing bowls meditation
Life’n One is hosting a Tibetan singing bowls meditation class, which is said to restore the body’s energy. The wellbeing centre says the benefits of the class include better sleep, deep relaxation and improved memory. Comfortable clothes are recommended. Mats, cushions and blankets will be provided.

Full moon yoga
Stretch on the beach under a full moon with the moonlit yoga sessions at Fairmont The Palm. The 90-minute session will include 60 minutes of vinyasa flow yoga followed by 30 minutes of meditation. Participants get to listen to the soothing sounds of spiritual music band Kirtan throughout their meditation. Guests will be supplied with yoga mats, and will also take home a beauty hamper as the hotel is partnering with Ritual Cosmetics.

Kintsugi
The new Japanese inspired yoga studio is the only studio in Dubai to host yoga and meditation classes in a Zen Salt Room, with walls built from pink Himalayan salt bricks. Kintsugi claims the Halo generator releases salt into the air of the room to improve hydration, sleep and support hormonal balance. There are more than 20 classes per day, covering everything from ballet, dance, hatha, pregnancy yoga and meditation, as well as the more intriguing sounding swing yoga, swinging on the ropes, and hula hoop yoga.

H Retreats is hosting a Wellness Saturday retreat this month. Participants will start the day with a Hatha yoga class and sound-healing meditation, followed by a three-course lunch. Both vegan and vegetarian dishes will be available. Later, participants will hear a mindfulness talk ‘on letting go of the ego’ followed by a talk on mind and body connection by consultant pharmacist and health coach Dr Hanan Selim.

Yogafest
Three-day festival Yogafest celebrates all things yoga in the open-air setting of Dubai Internet City Amphitheatre. Kicking off in the meditation tent on Thursday evening, it continues with two full days of sessions throughout all tents. Yogis of all ages and experience will be able to partake in free yoga sessions, meditation, wellness classes and yoga-related activities. This year, Yogafest will be supporting charity Al Jalila Foundation. Entry is donation based and you will need to pre-register online.
