The weekend is finally here! And we hope you’ve been getting your full eight-hours-a-night this week, Abu Dhabi. Because it’s going to be huge. Many of you will be taking part in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix festivities, but if it’s not really your thing, we’ve got options for you, too. Here are six things to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend…
Thursday November 22
Have a Thanksgiving feast

Get the F1 party started
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend is officially here, and even if you didn’t manage to get your hands on tickets, you can join in on the fun at Yasalam’s “Live Across The City” event at A’l Bahar at Abu Dhabi Corniche. Tonight they’re holding the Emerging Talent Competition finale, where you can watch up-and-coming musicians battle it out for the grand prize. The winner will get to perform before the Guns ‘N Roses after-race concert.

Check out the new ride at Warner Bros. World
Batman fans should head to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi this weekend to try out the new Batman: Knight Flight. The ride combines a high-tech flight simulator with physical scenery and state-of-the-art special effects for an immersive experience. Thrill-seekers will be able to climb aboard the remote-controlled flying vehicle to help Batman fight crime throughout Gotham City.

Head along to a special F1 brunch
Stars N Bars’ popular Funch Bunch is moving the party onto its Star Deck outdoor lounge for three days of brunching over the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Take part in a free archaeological tour
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi is hosting an open day at two Bronze Age archaeological sites in Al Ain today and Sunday. You’ll be given a free tour of Hili 8 (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Hili 4, which date back more than 5000 years. Tours will take place every half an hour from 10am to 3pm, departing from Hili Archaeological Park.

Watch a rap star perform at a superclub pop-up
Dubai’s home-grown superclub, BASE, is hosting a pop-up in collaboration with renowned New York nightlife brand, 1 OAK, above Cipriani in Yas Marina. American rap star Tyga will be headlining tonight, while superstar South African DJ Black Coffee will perform a closing set on Sunday night.
