Mohammad Mir Ibrahim first started cutting hair when he was nine years old, in his father’s barbershop in Syria. Two decades later, and he’s cutting the hair of celebrities, in his very own gentlemen’s hair salon in Dubai.

Then again, Barber Mo is not just any barber. He left home at the age of 13 to travel around the Middle East, picking up cutting and styling techniques along the way. In 2003, he landed in Dubai, where he started making a name for himself as a top barber.

When Will Smith visited Dubai in 2014, it was Mo who was despatched to the Hollywood star’s hotel suite to give him a trim. Since then, he has gone on to style the heads of Jay-Z, Kid Ink, Sergi Constance and Diego Maradona, among other big names.

He opened Skills by Barber Mo in 2016, so he could focus on delivering the quality service he’d become so well known for.

Inside the exclusive hair lounge, Barber Mo and his crack team offer hair, beard, and facial services. He can do any type of cut you can think of, from fresh fades to perfect pompadours. In fact, he knows hair so well that he can do it all with his eyes closed.

Want to get one of Barber Mo’s celebrity-approved cuts? You’ll pay Dhs250 for a cut and Dhs150 for a beard trim with the man himself, or you can book an appointment with one of his team (who have all been personally trained by Mo) for Dhs150 for a cut, Dhs75 for a beard trim or Dhs200 for both.
