Super long weekend announced for UAE National Day
It’s a four-day weekend for everyone!
The UAE government has announced that both the public and private sectors will enjoy a long weekend in celebration of the country’s 47th National Day.
Employees will be given Sunday December 2 and Monday December 3 off, making it a four-day weekend for those with a typical Sunday to Thursday work week.
The UAE Cabinet approves the public holiday of the #UAE_National_Day_47 for public and private sectors on the 2nd & 3rd of December. Work will resume on Tuesday. The Cabinet congratulates the people of the UAE on this occasion. #UAEGov

The holiday celebrates the unification of the seven emirates in 1971.
The UAE is currently in the middle of another long weekend – Sunday November 18 is a holiday to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
