Aretha Franklin fans, get excited. A one night only tribute event is coming to Dubai Opera later this year, as British soul singer Mica Paris takes on some of Franklin’s best-loved songs at the stunning venue.

The concert will take place Thursday November 14 2019, so stop ‘Day Dreaming’ and get your tickets – which are on sale now from Dhs150.

Plus if you book before February 25, you can take advantage of a 20 per cent discount on the top two categories.

Known as the ‘Queen of Soul’, Aretha Franklin touched many hearts with her soul music performances and was is well known for her hit song, R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Aretha Franklin won 18 Grammy’s and sold over 75 million records during her music career, which spanned over six decades, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time.

It’s a timely announcement for the tribute concert, which comes just after an empowering performance to Aretha Franklin brought down the house at this year’s Grammy Awards – with Aretha’s iconic hit “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” performed by Yolanda Adams, Fantasia and Andra Day

In Dubai later this year, Franklin’s iconic hits will be performed by Mica Paris, who returns to Dubai Opera for a second time. She was first here back in 2017, when she headlined a tribute concert to Ella Fitzgerald.

Mica Paris is one of the UK’s most respected female Soul singers, who has collaborated with the likes of Prince and Jools Holland over an impressive career that spans more than 30 years.
