There's a beautiful stargazing iftar happening in the UAE this Ramadan
Looking for a unique iftar experience? Look no further…
While the UAE is filled with beautiful Ramadan tents and iftar menus to suit every taste, if you’re looking for something a bit different this Ramadan, we reckon we’ve found it.
At Mleiha, the historic archeological site in Sharjah, guests can enjoy iftar at the Ramadan Star Lounge, which comes complete with a stargazing session afterwards.
Iftar is available daily from sunset, and takes place in a custom-built Ramadan tent that’s lit with cosy candlelight. Seating options are available both under a shaded canopy, or out in the open area of the archeological centre for small groups looking for some privacy.
After a traditional iftar spread of traditional Middle Eastern dishes, Ramadan juices and water, guests are invited to take a stroll by the nearby deer inclosure, before heading off to explore an array of archaeology and fossils at the Archaological Museum (entry is included in the package). Lead by a professional tour guiide, visitors can marvel at the regions rich history as they explore the museum.
Guests then finish their evening relaxing by the campfire and enjoy a stargazing experience in the peaceful serenity of the historic site. Bliss.
There’s also the option to add a dune drive experience for Dhs50 per person, for those looking for a little more adventure after iftar.
Iftar at the Ramadan Star Lounge is priced at Dhs175 for adults and Dhs100 for children.
