Sketch Art Café & Sketch Studio will help bring the Picasso out of you…

Artists, here’s one for you. Sketch Art Café & Sketch Studio is a cool new space set to bring out your inner Picasso at Mattar bin Lahej Gallery in Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah.

The space is split into two; one part studio and one part cafe, and is the brainchild of Emirati artist, Mattar Bin Lahej.

At Sketch Studio, you can try your artistic skills at drawing, painting, sculpting, mosaics and even printmaking. You’ll pay by the hour to use the studio, with prices starting from Dhs70 depending on what activity you’ll be doing. You’re welcome to bring your own materials, or for a little extra you can pay for the materials at the studio.

While at Sketch Cafe you can illustrate paper coffee cups while you catch up over a refreshing beverage. At the end of the day, 10 to 20 of the most wow-worthy cups will then be selected and put on display on the striking Coffee Cup Wall of Fame.

That’s not all, one cup will then be selected each month which will be printed and used in the cafe with the artist gaining some much-needed recognition on the Sketch Café’s social media platforms.

While the Sketch Art Café & Sketch Studio is the perfect spot to build your existing artistic talents, those new to the craft may discover a skill they never knew they had.
