Two classic movies screened at the iconic Dubai Opera with a live orchestra. What’s not to love?

Muggles, prepare to be spellbound by a seriously magical performance as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in Concert is coming to Dubai Opera later this year.

You’ll be able to see your favourite bespectacled hero on a super sized screen on September 20 and 21, with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra performing the iconic John Williams score. There will be both matinee and evening performances.

Harry Potter is one of two classic films in concert coming to Dubai this September, preceded by the iconic Roman action movie, Gladiator.

For the first time in Dubai, the Ridley Scott masterpiece will be displayed on the huge, high-definition screen. Gladiator will be shown at 8pm  on September 18 and 19, with the orchestra playing its dramatic score created by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard.

The third installment in the Harry Potter series will be shown a year after Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets came to Dubai Opera and two years after Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first shown.
