WAKE UP CALL, the festival by W Hotels, is coming to Dubai in October…

W Dubai – The Palm has announced it will host a three-day festival at its Palm Jumeirah property in October 2019. The festival, called WAKE UP CALL, will be headlined by pop icon Rita Ora, feature a DJ set by dance music duo Disclosure and Australian house music group RÜFÜS DU SOL.

From Thursday October 10 to Saturday October 12, Marriott Bonvoy members can gain access to the festival, which aims to ‘take the festival experience off the fields and onto fabulous hotel ground’. Room key and ticket holders can explore the hotel to find performances on the main stage and WET Deck.

At the moment, we’re unsure whether all artists will perform on the same day, or whether each will headline a different day of the festival. But a full schedule and line-up are set to be revealed soon.

The festival is only open for members of Marriott’s members’ programme, Marriott Bonvoy. However, anyone can join the rewards programme for free. Members can then utilise their accumulated points for exclusive Marriott Bonvoy Moments packages that we’re told ‘make backstage passes look passé’.

Promising to be more intimate than a typical festival environment, the line-up will include a mix of big name and upcoming talent. More of the exciting line-up is due to be released in the coming weeks, and we can’t wait to see who gets added to the bill.

WAKE UP CALL plans to tie in its celebrity chef-led restaurants Torno Subito and Akira Back, as well as offering a brunch spread to hungry festival dancers. Health-conscious party animals will also have the chance to DETOX RETOX REPEAT with fitness classes throughout the weekend, too.

Room rates start from Dhs1,333 per night for two guests, if you prepay in advance. An additional guest can be added to the room for Dhs350 per night. If you’re looking for a day pass, you’ll have to wait a little longer as tickets will be release online ‘soon’.
