One of the best parts about Dubai is the sheer number of stunning outdoor terraces to enjoy sundowners during the cooler months. Whether you’re looking for breathtaking views, top notch bites or exotic hand-crafted drinks, here are the all outdoor terraces ready to welcome you back.

Torno Subito
When: Now open
Torno Subito is inspired by chef Massimo Bottura’s childhood on the Italian Riviera, and takes its name from signs that would hang in the shop windows when their owners would take an extended lunch break. Roughly translated, ‘torno subito’ means ‘I will be right back”. The outdoor terrace has reopened with a new aperitivo offer which gives guests two signature cocktails and five bites for Dhs125 per person, it runs daily from 6pm to 8pm.

Siddharta Lounge

As pretty as this bar is inside, it’s even better out on the terrace, where you’ll find a glam crowd mingling around the pool or lounging on leather cushions. The vibe is chilled in the week, with a more lively vibe with dancing and DJs until the early hours on the weekends. There’s an exciting reopening party planned for Thursday September 19 with DJ Karl so be sure to save the date in your diary.

SoBe

SoBe, located on the far-west crescent of the Palm, is definitely worth hotfooting over town for their Wednesday ladies’ night or on a Thursday evening as you warm up for the weekend. Open from 4pm daily, it’s a relaxed and stunning terrace, overlooking breathtaking views of the ocean. By night, it transforms into a funky, neon lit hangout quite unlike anything you’ve experienced before. What’s more, they have a sunset ritual to take you through to evening and a 2-4-1 happy hour from 4pm to 7pm.

Mercury Lounge

The jewel atop the Four Seasons Jumeirah, Mercury Lounge is a glamorous Dubai rooftop bar with one-of-a-kind views: overlooking the Dubai skyline and the Burj Khalifa on one side, and the Arabian Gulf on the other. During the week it’s relatively relaxed, but it’s a different story at the weekend.

Akira Back

Arguably one of the most sophisticated rooftop bars in Dubai, Akira Back’s outdoor terrace ooze sophistication. There’s a moat design around the central bar, with plenty of tables to enjoy the expansive views of Dubai Marina and the Arabian Gulf. Sofa booths provide cosy outdoor seating, perfect for small and stylish group celebrations.

Barasti

The Middle Deck at Barasti will be closed for a week while the House of Whatever tent is being removed. The terrace will return to an outdoor bar on Thursday evening, September 12 ready for a big weekend under the sun.

Ramusake

Things can get pretty lively on this balcony extension of popular Japanese haunt, Ramusake, especially if you’re there on ladies’ night. The doors of the terrace will once again reopen on September 16, with the first outdoor ladies’ night of the season happening on Wednesday September 18. Make sure you’re there for unlimited drinks for girls and the latest chart-topping RnB tunes.

Eve Penthouse & Lounge

Describing that it’s inspired by ‘a wandering beauty whose Gatsby-esque mystique and decadent lifestyle ensure she’s always the source of intrigue’, Eve is the rooftop penthouse in Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights. Currently there’s an external wall around the bar to protect it from the heat outside, but that will come down when the weather improves. Open from 4.30pm daily, Eve serves up an extensive menu of cocktails as well as an internationally influenced menu of bar bites alongside some stunning vistas of Dubai Creek.

Flair No.5
When: Monday, September 23
Flair No.5 closed its doors at the beginning of summer and is just about ready to reopen them. An al fresco urban jungle, the expansive outdoor bar is a leafy spot that’s great for post-work drinks. It’s got a lively vibe with an excellent choice of botanical cocktails, herb infused drinks and floral inspired sharing menu. It’s mainly about the drinks, but you can also order light bites designed to share. After work drinks, or ladies’ night on a Wednesday, it’s a chic midweek wind-down.

Seven Sisters

This Business Bay lounge is currently operating its terrace with a retractable roof but soon (we’re told it depends on when the Dubai humidity drops again), it will come off. The Lebanese export which overlooks the Dubai Canal in the JW Marriott Marquis, and is popular for its Friday sundowner brunch and mid-week ladies’ night.

Tokyo Vibes

Being in such a great outdoor location as Soho Garden, it would be a shame for Tokyo Vibes not to offer some outdoor space during the cooler months. The newly-opened Japanese bar will remain an indoor venue, with an outside area available to enjoy from the end of September.

Alici

Gorgeous Almafi Coast-inspired seafood restaurant Alici is reopening its beautiful terrace this month as well as introducing two new DJs. DJ Patrick and DJ Mari Geneva will both be taking residencies to help prolong the summer vibes atmosphere residents have come to know and love.

Treehouse

The Burj Khalifa serves as the impressive backdrop to this urban rooftop bar. It’s spent the summer undercover, but Treehouse will be back outdoors from October 1. There’s a new ladies’ night every Wednesday which offers girls unlimited bubbly from 9pm for Dhs169. It’s also worth checking out Treehouse’s acoustic night on Sunday, and it’s home to one of Downtown’s most popular post-brunch parties on Fridays.

Tamanya Terrace

Media City bar Tamanya Terrace received a tiki-makeover when it was covered for the summer earlier this year. The tent will come off on October 2 but we can reveal that the theme is here to stay for the new season. With floral shirts, exotic cocktails and live music, Radisson Blu Media City’s rooftop bar is the place to get your Tiki-fix this winter.

Cielo Sky Lounge

Whilst Dubai Creek is a little further away from the heart of the city, Cielo Sky Lounge is totally worth the trip. Relax on the ultra-chic rooftop terrace and wind down with chilled beats from the Dj whilst enjoying panoramic views of Old Dubai and the Creek.

La Cantine du Faubourg

La Cantine’s cosy terrace will make its grand return just in time for the fancy French restaurant’s annual Pink Brunch. Tables at this glossy spot are sought after, and even more so on their terrace – an intimate urban jungle of retro art, plants and low seating that could make you feel like you were in a hidden garden in Paris, if it weren’t for the shadows of the Emirates Towers skyscrapers above.

Atelier M

The jewel in the Pier 7 crown, Atelier M might be best known for its bar and lounge – but you’re missing a trick if you don’t dine here. Mood Rooftop

Part rooftop bar, part exotic garden lounge, Mood Rooftop Lounge will open on the rooftop of the Meydan Hotel this October. Promising 180 degree views of the city, an international menu and extensive shisha offering, it will add to an already impressive list of bars and clubs at Meydan which include Soho Garden, Tokyo Vibes and Drai’s DXB.

The Penthouse

After a few month of partying indoors, Skyline Thursdays will soon be back out in the open again. The popular Penthouse event regularly hosts some of the world’s top DJs and the next season is no different. Coming up on the bill is BJones on October 3 and Toni Varga & Tini Gessler on October 17.

Popular JLT watering hole, Nola, currently has a conservatory covering its cosy outdoor area. The bar tells us they’re waiting to see when the weather improves before announcing the removal of the roof but it should be some time in October. Once they do, you’ll be able to enjoy clear views of the neighbouring JLT towers.

Amazonico

Hailing from Madrid, rainforest-inspired Amazonico is set to open its doors at the end of October in DIFC’s Gate Village 11. The team behind the restaurant say that Amazonico will be split into three distinct spaces: a ground floor sushi counter and lounge, first floor restaurant, and an open-air, Copacabana inspired rooftop with private dining area.

Chic Arabian rooftop spot, Ninive, currently has a large elegant tent shading the entire venue to keep it cool in the summer. While it’s still stunning to sit and enjoy a refreshing cocktail, we can’t wait until the End of October when the tent will be removed to reveal the surrounding views of Business Bay.

One of Asia’s best known – and most impressive – rooftop bars, CE LA VI, is set to open in Dubai later this year. CE LA VI will be found on the 54th floor of the Address Sky View, at the poolside of the incredible infinity pool that links the two hotel towers.

If you want to catch some of the best views of Downtown Dubai, including Burj Khalifa then you’ll want to keep an eye out for FireLake Grill’s terrace reopening. While we’re not sure exactly when it will be, we’re told it’s coming back soon, along with their backyard grill. Serving up smoked and charred meats, marinated seafood and coal-roasted veggies, we can’t wait until barbecue weather is back once again.
