Looking for fun stuff to fill your calendars with during the National Day long weekend? A visit to The Pointe is a must, in commemoration of the UAE’s 48th National Day, the stunning waterfront destination is celebrating all the different nationalities and cultures residing in the UAE for 48 hours.

Events begin at 4pm until 11.30pm each day, from Thursday November 28 until Tuesday December 3, 2019. Do note though, that there will be no events on Saturday November 30, 2019.

On your visit, expect to enjoy roaming entertainment, dances, face painting and lots more from 4pm to 7pm.

On Friday, November 29 there will be live performances by J-Tones and Toi and the Band from 6pm. There’s also a dance performance from 10.30pm.

Speaking of dance, there will be dance classes taking place on Sunday, December 1 (available daily until Tuesday December 3) from 4.30pm to 5pm. It’s all about the rhythm and beat on Friday, with live performances by a Brazilian band and African drum circle. Stick around until the end of the night’s events where you can sing along with the live Philipino band.

There’s also something for you competitive folks with lots of games and competitions taking place at different intervals too starting from 7pm until late on Friday and Sunday.

And if you love fireworks, The Pointe are having a dazzling display of fireworks on Monday December 2, 2019 at 8pm. Monday will also see performances by an Ayallah act, plus flash mobs from India and Spain. An Arabic performance ends the night’s events.
