Do you have a keen interest in art and publishing? If the answer is yes, keep yourself free between Thursday November 14 and Saturday November 16 as a huge art book fair is happening in the UAE.

It will be the second edition of the annual FOCAL POINT Art Book Fair, which is free to attend and will take place at the heritage building of Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, in the Sharjah Arts Area.

The three-day fair will exhibit printed works by artists and publishers from around the UAE and across the globe along with free educational workshops for adults and children.

Zines and comics will be the focus for this years’ edition of the FOCAL POINT Art Book Fair, where art book creators, illustrators, writers, speciality printers and independent publishers will exhibit their works.

FOCAL POINT 2019 is curated across five different sections:

EDIT: Features curated presentations by arts organisations, creatives, artists and publishers from various networks and regions.

INDEPENDENT: Includes independent publishers and distributors from across the world.

UAE: Features publications by local institutions and art galleries from across the United Arab Emirates

SAF PUBLICATIONS: Includes catalogues, monographs, artist projects, guidebooks and other printed matter published by Sharjah Art Foundation.
