Oak Room
Our What’s On Restaurant of the Year has been serving up meaty marvels for the best part of a year now, and recently a new beef tasting menu has been added to its offerings. Guests will begin with a beef tartare and beef carpaccio, followed by 18-hour braised short rib, and a 300g black onyx tenderloin, finishing off with an Eton Mess and sticky toffee pudding. The cost per person is a steal at Dhs450 or you can choose wine pairing for Dhs750.

Café Sushi
There are few things team What’s On love more than a good hot pot. Café Sushi’s new unlimited shabu-shabu option sees diners immerse a range of fresh ingredients – from vegetables, tofu and noodles to slices of Angus beef – into a large cauldron of soup to stew, before enjoying it with daikon ponzu and goma sauce.

Kamoon
Kamoon has introduced a new romantic Arabic set menu. Sit under the stars in a beautiful gazebo and enjoy a special three-course menu. Dishes include the Kamoon salad with avocado, tomatoes and berries, a selection of cold and hot mezze, and mixed grill, followed by a dessert.

Spaccanapoli
This lovely Italian in the Crowne Plaza Hotel has introduced an exciting range of new authentic seafood dishes, including pan-seared scallops with asparagus, roasted whole seabass with grilled vegetables, and an insalata di mare with prawns, octopus and scallops. Elsewhere on the new menu is a T-bone steak, desserts, and fresh new pizza toppings.

JW Steakhouse
The high-end steakhouse has added a number of prime steak options to its menu this season. Highlights include a USDA certified prime black Angus beef (Dhs251), oak smoked BBQ wagyu beef short ribs (Dhs229), and Spanish 21-day grass fed beef (Dhs289).

District by Amalfi
The popular Italian restaurant at Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi has shaken up its menu with a range of new antipasti, mains, and a very exciting new mozzarella bar. We recommend the new grilled prawns alla diavola, beef bresola, and delicious open pumpkin lasagna.

Trader Vic’s
The French-Polynesian restaurant has renovated its menu, retiring dishes such as the Asian duck salad and masala chicken skewers, and adding in a Chinatown chicken salad, and a chicken kofta skewer. Other new dishes include kung pao chicken wings, a Madagascar peppercorn steak, Mongolian beef, and steamed seabass.

Velocity Sports Bar
