Inside the Hudariyat leisure district, opening in Abu Dhabi next month
The development includes a beach cinema, glamping facilities, a zip line, heritage trail, overwater cycle track and more…
Developers Modon are currently adding the final coats of gloss and polish to the Hudayriyat Leisure and Entertainment District, an adventure-packed homage to life in the great outdoors, located on Hudayriyat Island, to the west of Downtown Abu Dhabi.
The exciting creation offers a full spectrum of active escapades. From a sedate contemplative walk through archaeological sites on the heritage trail, or a soothing glide along the overwater cycle track to the adrenalin-thumping thrills of the BMX track, climbing wall, high rope courses, ziplines, and skate park.
There’s also a beach cinema, Fifa-approved football pitch, indoor and outdoor sports courts, a beach, kids splash park, eateries and a range of camping facilities that include camper vans and glamping tents with their own private swimming pool.

And following a tour earlier in October, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, directed that the development should be open for public within the next 30 days.
His highness tweeted “We visited Al Hudayriat Project, an important addition to Abu Dhabi’s entertainment and tourism sector. We aim to develop inclusive and unique projects, which encourage a healthier lifestyle for the whole community”.
And that’s what it’s all about, facilities that blend fun and active recreation, with the opportunity to get closer to nature and explore the cultural history of the UAE. For a healthier, more enriched, more informed, more curious life.
Modon, of course, are the minds behind Jubail Mangrove Park which reopened to the public at the beginning of this month with a selection of new attractions and activities.
