We’ve done the leg work to make your week amazing…
Another week has arrived, and with it come a host of fun things to do in the city. This week, we have a selection of hot spots for you to try, from beach days to white parties, comedy nights and more. Here are our top picks for things to do in Dubai this week.
Sunday September 5
1. Sample wine at Carna Dubai
Élite Sommelier UAE and African + Eastern have teamed up to bring you a series of dinners hosted by top sommeliers. Kicking off at Carna by Dario Cecchini at SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences on September 5, head sommelier Florian Strassgurtl will take you through a series of wines from Tenuta di Biserno in Tuscany, Italy.

2. Check out an Insta-worthy restaurant
You’ll find upscale Chinese restaurant Hutong Dubai in DIFC. Critically acclaimed in its existing locations in The Shard, London and New York’s Manhattan, the Dubai outpost of Hutong has been welcomed, and it’s proved hugely popular so far. In the centre of the restaurant, you’ll find a wishing tree, created by a Chinese master and imported to Dubai – an homage to the famous Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees in Hong Kong, as well as red lanterns and signature Chinese styling. Guests are invited to write a wish on the red labels and place them as high as possible on the tree in the hope they come true.
Hutong, Gate Building 6, Ground Floor DIFC, Sunday to Thursday 12pm to 2.30pm, 6pm to 1am, Friday and Saturday 12pm to 3pm, 6pm to 1am. Tel: (0)4 220 0868. @hutongdubai
Tuesday September 7
3. Spend the day at Nikki Beach
Popular beach club Nikki Beach Dubai has made a welcome return, and a beach day sounds like the ideal way to start your week. A large sun bed for three people starts at Dhs1,000 on weekdays, with credit towards your food and drinks for the day. On weekdays, a single sun lounger is priced Dhs200, with Dhs100 redeemable on food and beverages. On the weekend, it’s Dhs300 with Dhs200 redeemable on food and beverages.
