It promises to be a gorgeous desert iteration of the inner city favourite…

Ninive has long been a favourite on Dubai’s Middle Eastern dining scene thanks to its leafy alfresco terrace, gorgeous grand Majlis feel, and bold Levantine flavours. And from this Friday December 22, you’ll be able to check it out at a new location, as the brand opens a desert iteration within the resort of Bab Al Shams.

Located 45 minutes outside of the city and promising to bring a glamourous Ninive touch to the traditional Bedouin experience, Ninive Bab Al Shams is inspired by the rich culinary and aesthetic influences of the region. Pairing rustic charm with welcoming hospitality, it’s set to be a new desert dining experience that brings to life traditional Middle Eastern dining in a whole new way.

The detailed design touches all contribute to the 1001 Arabian Nights feel, from the ornate lanterns to the rich and regal hues used throughout the textured seating area.

A stunning spot for sunset dining amongst the dunes, the restaurant will open daily from 4pm. Guests will be able to dine on a fusion of dishes from the Middle East and North Africa, laced with Iranian, Iraqi, Turkish, and Moroccan influences. There will also be a beverage and shisha menu to pair with the dishes.

Ninive Bab Al Shams is the latest opening from Rikas Group, the hospitality heavyweights behind restaurants such as Eugene Eugene, Chez Wam, Twiggy and La Cantine.

It joins a culinary line-up at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort that already includes Al Hadeerah, an open-air dining experience inspired by Middle Eastern traditions; stunning sunset lounge Anwā; and the light, bright all-day dining restaurant, Zala.
