In pics: You will soon be able to stay at a safari resort in the UAE
Coming soon…
Love a unique staycation? There’s not one, but two LUX resorts set to open in Sharjah by Shurooq in 2025, and one of them will invite you to enjoy a retreat in the Arabian wilderness.
Shurooq is known for its unique glamping spots, so when they open, these two new LUX Resorts should definitely be on the top of your list. The Sharjah development group has released some new renderings of the LUX Al Bridi Resort and LUX Al Jabal Resort, and all we can say is, ‘We can’t wait to check in!’
Here’s what we know
LUX Al Bridi Resort
LUX Al Bridi Resort is located in the Al Dhaid region adjacent to Sharjah Safari – the largest safari park outside the African continent.
It will feature 35 private and elegant tented retreats with one, two and three-bedroom options. All of the tents will overlook the native wildlife sanctuary and will come with all the amenities and facilities for a comfortable stay.
The official website tells us that guests will be able to enjoy a safari and partake in conservation initiatives. For children joining, they will learn about the African wildlife and the importance of preserving it.
Other unique experiences are also being curated by the team within the grounds, and it looks like they have teamed up other must-see art and cultural spots in Sharjah including the archaeological centre, Maraya Art Centre and Al Madam ghost town.
Worried about the harm it will do to nature? Don’t worry, all the facilities have been developed keeping in mind sustainability and the environment.
The sanctuary will also offer a LUX ME Spa and the opportunity to ‘dine in the wild’.
At the moment, LUX Al Bridi Resort is 25 per cent complete.
LUX Al Jabal Resort
LUX Al Jabal Resort is located in a prime location between Khorfakkan and Luluyah along the Gulf of Oman.
The eco-friendly resort will feature 45 spaces (one-bedroom or two-bedroom) with a design that blends local heritage with the natural surrounding.
Guests who check in will be able to enjoy a wealth of facilities and services, alongside diverse leisure activities. Those wanting to answer the call of the blue will be able to enjoy jet-skiing, kayaking, parasailing or diving. Of course, if you just want to relax, you can pick a spot on the beach and soak in those rays and the views.
As per previous reports, the resort will be completed in phases. When the second phase is complete, there will be a clubhouse, a restaurant, a spa, a wellness centre and a kids club. To add to the ‘beachy vibe’, there will even be a beach shack. LUX Al Jabal Resort is currently 40 per cent complete.
Both LUX Resorts Sharjah are set for completion by the last quarter of 2025. Stay tuned to whatson.ae for the latest news on these resorts.
