World's 50 Best Bars 2024: These two Dubai bars made the list

Mimi Kakushi retains its place as the best bar in the Middle East and Africa…

The prestigious World’s 50 Best Bars ceremony, held in Madrid on Tuesday October 22, unveiled the top 50 bars, with Dubai proudly claiming one coveted spot in the top 50 and another in the extended 51-100 list.

From cozy jazz joints to glitzy rooftop bars, discreet drinking dens to pumping clubs, Dubai’s nightlife scene has you covered for every mood and occasion. So, drumroll, please…

Here are the Dubai bars that made the 2024 list:

Number 40: Mimi Kakushi

The UAE’s best performing bar was once again Mimi Kakushi, retaining its place at number 40 and once again seeing it recognised as the best bar in the Middle East and Africa. Since opening in 2021, Rikas Group’s Mimi Kakushi has become a popular spot for foodies and cocktail enthusiasts alike. Nestled in the Four Seasons Jumeirah Restaurant Village, it’s inspired by 1920s Osaka and serves experimental Japanese cuisine and an extensive menu of creative cocktails, all masterminded by Manja Stankovic, Mimi Kakushi’s Bar Manager. Blending music and cocktails, the Kikushi cocktail menu is a curated list of 13 sips, each paired with a different vinyl song to evoke different emotions.

Mimi Kakushi, Four Seasons Resort, Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai, 6pm to 2am Mon to Thurs, 12pm to 2am Fri, 12pm to 4pm and 6pm to 2am Sat and Sun. Tel: (0)4 379 4811. mimikakushi.ae

Number 76: La Petite Maison Dubai

LPM Dubai

In the extended 51-100 list, the only other bar to rank in the World’s 50 Best was La Petite Maison, entering the list at a solid number 76. A chic and contemporary ode to the French Riviera, while guests regularly flock to La Petite Maison for the food, those in the know know that a pre-dinner drink at the bar, or late night sips perched up in one of the red leather bar stools are not to be missed. Sure, they’re famous for their signature Tomatini, served worldwide, but you shouldn’t miss your chance to sample your way through cocktails like lettre a coco, a sweet and fragrant drink of vodka, Champagne cordial, jasmine, bergamot and rose.

La Petite Maison Dubai, Gate Village 08, DIFC, Dubai, daily 12pm to 3.30pm and 6pm to 1am. Tel: (0) 4 439 0505, lpmrestaurants.com/dubai/
