Designer genes…

Art and culture fans, Dubai Design Week is back, returning to the creative enclave of Dubai Design District (d3) from November 5 to 10, 2024.

The milestone, decade-old edition will feature over 500 internationally acclaimed and emerging designers. And whilst it may be a special jubilee year, you’ll still find all the cool, quirky, and beautifully abstract designs that make this event such a pull for the creatively-minded.

No matter what your style, we can almost guarantee there’ll be something to pique your interest or inspire you.

Here’s your guide to Dubai Design District 2024

Meet Editions Dubai, the first limited edition art and design fair in the Middle East.

Edition refers to a work in which the artist or designer creates multiple copies of either a limited edition or an open edition (unlimited) piece. It allows for collectors and art enthusiasts to discover regional creatives, adding depth to, and providing a platform for the local art scene.

Over 50 international and regional galleries, design studios, and collections will showcase their creations from photography, contemporary design, ceramics, and prints.

Downtown Designs

Downtown Design

You can’t imagine Dubai Design Week without Downtown Design. It’s an anchor event of the festival.

Veteran talent and fresh faces from the international design scene come together at d3’s Waterfront Terrace, showing off their latest collections and solutions for brands across the world. Need inspiration for your home? This is the place to be.

UAE-based Amjad Al Hajj

From cool clock designs (pictured above) by UAE-based Amjad Al Hajj to Fioravante – producers of fine marble interior design pieces and furniture from Italy, Designed in Saudi – industrial designers from KSA and more, there’s so much to soak in as you stroll around.

Urban Commissions

Downtown Design

Dubai Design Week’s annual competition called on designers and architects to develop community furniture for public spaces. The theme ‘Tawila’ (‘table’ in Arabic) prompted designers to ‘examine’ the table as a platform for exchange, tradition, and communal experiences. Designs will be unveiled at the festival.
