With international headliners, fancy dress and five sports now played, Emirates Dubai 7s is a three-day spectacular with endless things to do. But stripping it back, it begins – and ends – with rugby, and this year it’s set to be a weekend of gripping action.

The pools and match schedule have now been revealed for the first leg of the HSBC SVNS 2025, which will be the first time the world’s finest players have clashed since the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

On Saturday November 30, old scores will be settled on the grass as pitches 1 and 2 will see some huge matches played, with each team playing all the others in their pool. From the initial games, the top two teams in each pool and the two best third placed sides will advance to the quarter finals.

Then on Sunday December 1 it’s finals day, and fans can catch the cup finals at 7.35pm for the women’s match and 8.11pm for the men’s match. And after that, the celebrations will continue in typical Sevens fashion, with an awards presentation, fireworks and then a performance from the grime legend Stormzy at 9.30pm.

Tickets

Tickets for the weekend start from Dhs425 per day or Dhs550 for a two-day ticket, with pre-registration also available for Friday’s free ticket option. For the serious rugby fans, you’ll want to snag the reserved seating ticket, which promises the best views of all the tackles, tries, kicks and conversions on Pitch 1. These tickets are from Dhs605.

Why it’s going to be shining on the Sunroom
