UAE weather: Temperatures could get cooler this week
This is What’s On the UAE weather cards this week…
We all thought summer was picking up speed, but some respite might be on the way this week – the National Centre of Meteorology’s latest UAE weather forecast is showing a dip in temperatures later this week with the possibility of rainfall towards the northern emirates.
So far the weather has been quite confusing, sometimes warm and humid, and sometimes cooler, especially in the evenings. This week, we may see cooler days (fingers crossed).
According to the report, the week will begin with partly-cloudy to cloudy skies, with a light wind picking up at some points in the day. Wednesday will see the same conditions, with some dust picking up in the winds.
Thursday will be dustier and partly-cloudy at times, with a drop in temperatures. Winds may get stronger, leading to more dust in the air.
Friday will be similar, expected to be humid at night and Saturday morning over some coastal and inland areas. Possibility of fog or light fog. Fog is typical of this transitional period of winter, with early mornings and late evenings presenting as misty and foggy.
Convective cloud formation over the eastern parts of the country is expected, with a chance of light to moderate rainfall this afternoon. A yellow alert has been issued in areas in and around Fujairah – yellow means residents must be on the lookout if stepping outdoors.
When it rains…
Generally during rainfall, motorists are advised by The National Centre of Meteorology to stay safe on the roads in affected areas. Drivers have been instructed to drive only when necessary, turn on low-beam headlights when visibility is reduced and keep up to date with the forecasts via official channels.
Keep an eye out and stay safe on the roads out there!
