It seems Khloe Kardashian took a shine to Dubai when she visited to launch her family’s fashion range for Lipsy last year, after the star revealed on Instagram that she will be heading back to the UAE to attend the glitzy launch of a new restaurant in DIFC.
Khloe, 30, will walk the red carpet at the opening of Clé Dubai, the new restaurant from Michelin-starred chef and author Greg Malouf in Al Fattan Currency House.
“My loves!!! I’m coming to Dubai for the @CleDubai launch on October 10 & 11! #seeyousoon I’m so excited!!!” Kardashian posted on her Instagram account, along with a picture of the new venue’s logo.
The reality TV personality joins Paris Hilton and two supermodels, Irina Shayk and Victoria Secret’s Alessandra Ambrosio, in Dubai for what is being billed as “possibly to be glitziest opening that Dubai has ever had”.
When announcing the restaurant earlier this year, general manager for the venue, Nicolas Pierre, said: “Clé Dubai is definitely more than just a new addition to the vibrant culinary and nightlife scene of the country. From having a Michelin-starred chef serving his cuisine on a daily basis, launch events with international celebrities, to the surprises to be revealed after the opening, Clé Dubai is a truly unique concept never before seen in the UAE.”
After announcing the visit of two supermodels, Clé then left the news-breaking to the guests themselves, as Paris Hilton tweeted her excitement at the event, which is being held on October 11.

The TV star-turned DJ was last in the region in a year ago when she took to the decks at Cavalli Club. The hotel heiress’ has long held aspirations of a successful music career, and first released a self-titled pop album in 2006. Six years later she made her debut on the decks, though her performance in Brazil received a lukewarm reception, with Mixmag dubbing her set an ‘auditory car crash’.
However, fresh from a summer in Ibiza, the 32-year-old has continued to develop her skills, working alongside Akon, Afrijack and others. In fact, such as been her improvement that Hilton earned herself a month-long stint on the party island of Ibiza last summer, and none other than iconic nightclub Amnesia. Owners were so impressed with her role in the Foam and Diamonds party that she was signed up to return this year.
Kardashian was last in Dubai 11 months ago, when she told What’s On at the launch of the Kardashian Kollection how she loved the “glitz and glamour” of Dubai.
“Everything is just so beautiful and glamorous,” she said. “Even in the car as were driving from the airport, I just wanted to stop and jump out to look at stuff.”
Kim’s little sister only spent 12 hours in Dubai last time before catching a flight to Australia, so perhaps this weekend she’ll schedule in some free time to see the sights.
DIFC, where she’ll be sampling the contemporary Middle Eastern fare at Clé Dubai, is just a short spin from the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall Fountains, so, if you’re heading Downtown this weekend, keep your eyes peeled for a reality TV mega-star in your midst.
Widely regarded as a master of modern Middle Eastern cuisine, the Australian-born Malouf will open the new venue in Al Fattan Currency House, where it will incorporate a bar serving cutting edge cocktails, a lounge, a vast open-air terrace with views of the Burj Khalifa, and a performance space.
Born in Melbourne to Lebanese parents, Malouf has several award-winning food and travel books to his name.
