The world’s first FLYING BICYCLE unveiled at Middle East Extreme Sports Expo
This hoverbike human-piloted drone should replace all cars right now.
Star Wars fans and adrenaline junkies could be in for a treat of a lifetime this weekend when the first ever hoverbike goes up for sale in Dubai… for a whopping Dhs735,000.
Dubbed, the ‘flike’, the radical human-piloted giant drone – which has an uncanny resemblance to the speeder bikes from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi – is intended to be an ‘all-electric personal flight device’ that could change the way we commute, and was created in Hungary by flight enthusiasts at Bye Gravity.
The futuristic gadget turns the dream of free-flying into a reality in an almost science-fiction style. Its design is reminiscent of a motorcycle, but instead of two wheels it has three rotors, arranged in a triangle around the pilot’s seat. It has the capabilities of reaching 100km/h with a height ceiling of 30m.

Dubai residents and visitors will get the chance to experience a simulated flight aboard the flike at the second Middle East Extreme Sports Expo taking place from the 3 to 5 December at Dubai International Marine Club, near Barasti.
Elsewhere at the expo, 70 extreme sports exhibitors across 15 countries will introduce local adrenaline junkies to the latest the world has to offer in adventure and extreme sporting activities in the fields of motorsports, watersports and aerosports.
Aptly, the expo is held in conjunction with FAI Dubai World Air Games also scheduled to take place from the 1 to 12 December.
H.E Saeed Hareb President of the Organising Committee of the Dubai World Air Games and Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council said: “Having the Middle East Extreme Sports Expo and the Dubai World Air Games aligned will offer local and international visitors the choice of visiting two exciting events at the same time”.
The expo will take place from the 3 to 5 December from 3pm to 10pm with marine transportation taking visitors to and from the Dubai World Air Games held at Skydive Dubai.
Entry tickets are available at the door for Dhs40 and children under 10 years old enter for free. For more information, check out extremesportsexpo.me
