A first-of-its-kind Yoga Day will take place in Dubai on November 15, organised by OYSHO.

Open free of charge to every variety of ‘yogi’, be that beginner or expert, the special open air event at SkyDive Dubai is coming to the UAE following similar in Barcelona and Madrid promoting a sense of community spirit in addition to encouraging residents to embrace a healthy lifestyle.

A well-known yoga instructor will be leading the mass session, which kicks off at 10am.

Organisers are keen to stress the open-to-all session is exactly that, for everyone regardless of experience, so much so, free yoga mats and t-shirts will be provided by OYSHO at the venue.

Benefits of attending include relieving stress, soothing muscle tension and preventing fatigue.

OYSHO, who are also celebrating the release of their new range of fashionable yoga kit, enjoyed great success with their sessions earlier this year in Spain.

Reflecting on the event in the Catalan city, the company’s blog wrote: “At 7.30 in the morning queues began to form of people wanting to participate in the event. The first 700 participants to arrive received ayoga mat and everyone was given a very special kit including a backpack, T-shirt, bracelet and a discount worth 20% on the Gym by Oysho sportswear collection.

“Peace and tranquility reigned for more than an hour in the heart of the city of Barcelona, with almost 2,000 ‘yogis’ dressed in matching blue T-shirts which we designed exclusively for the event. After the excellent yoga class and the warm weather, all participants were invited to a glass of cool lemonade at our stand.”
