Have you heard about the cute new cafe hidden in a Dubai park?
This is as close to off-the-grid as an inner city Dubai cafe gets…
Fancy somewhere fresh for breakfast this weekend? Well, there’s now a cute little cafe inside Al Khazzan Park – aka, the solar park opposite City Walk.
Inn the Park is solar run, covered in local coral and features lots of outside seating as well as a curated library (from which you can borrow books for free to read while you’re sipping on tea).
It looks totally different to other Dubai offerings, but the cafe is from the same people as Bystro Cafe on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Side note: it only opens at 9am, so early birds will have to wait for their Benedict.
What about the menu? Well the food ranges from smashed avocado with organic eggs (Dhs48) to shrimp tacos (Dhs47) and Southern style chicken (Dhs60) to the superbowl salad (Dhs53). Meanwhile, the coffee beans are provided by the fine folk at RAW.
The park itself, Al Khazzan, opened originally in the 1980s, but it’s now run entirely on solar and that was the brainchild of Emirati brothers Ahmed and Rasheed Bin Shabib.
The park used to be where you’d find By Parker’s – check out our video below – but that burger joint is now in either the Dubai Mall or Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi.
Inn the Park are planning to do community events and the like soon, so we’ll keep you posted on those.
Here are some more snaps off the new spot:
