Watch: Video of a hectic sale in Saudi Arabia goes viral...
The UAE-based brand’s deals were clearly just too good…
We all love a sale, but this video showing a group of people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia really excited about discounted items is so next level it’s gone completely viral.
It looks like it was first posted online early this week, and this video from UAE Viral has already had 1.5 million views:
When Centrepoint KSA had a sale – buy anything for 5 Riyals
Posted by UAE Viral on Monday, May 1, 2017
The video shows bemused security guards and shoppers pulling at racks, and nearly tipping them over, in the hunt for a bargain, although it never actually shows any one person pushing another as often happens during Black Friday in the USA.
So what was the deal? Well, the video says everything was marked down to 5 Saudi riyals, aka Dhs4.90.
Now, to be fair, that is a good deal.
We’ve reached out to Centrepoint – which is a brand with headquarters in the UAE – for more information and comment on the video and will update you when we know more.
Centrepoint is part of the Landmark Group, which was founded by self-made UAE-based millionaire Micky Jagtiani
Landmark Group is a regional company through and through: they famously, pulled all Trump branded products in December 2015 after the now-US President made anti-Muslim remarks.
