Dubai now has a pink ambulance for women and children
You’ll soon see this pink responder rushing to emergencies…
Ladies in Dubai already have their own metro carriages and taxis, and now they have their very own ambulance.
Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) has introduced a pink emergency response vehicle to its fleet, which will be used to transport injured and sick women, expectant mums, and children under 12 years of age.
The pink ambulance will be stationed at Al Twar Municipality Centre, and will cover the Deira area between 11am and 11pm daily.

Here’s a video of the pink ambulance in action:
Khalifa Al Darai, executive director of DCAS, said the emergency vehicle was mostly expected to deal with women going into labour.
All of the drivers and paramedics onboard will be female, he said, and have undergone special training at the Latifa Hospital for women and children.
The pink ambulance is currently undergoing a trial run, but eventually another vehicle will be launched to cover the Bur Dubai area.
