You can now stream movies for free at Dubai Airport
Plane delayed? Catch a movie… the free video streaming service will be available to all passengers at Dubai International Airport…
There’s nothing worse than hanging around an underwhelming airport on a long transit (or for the few hours before you fly). But that’s not the case at Dubai International: which has just launched a sleeping lounge complete with private pods, and now has the world’s fastest airport Wi-Fi.
And the latest good news for Dubai travellers is that passengers can stream movies and TV shows at the airport for free (and via fast Wi-Fi no less).
The service is a new partnership between Dubai Airports and content provider ICFLIX. It will allow passengers to stream movies and TV shows in Arabic, English and French on their smartphones and laptops in between flights.
A perfect way to spend those two long hours waiting for your flight we reckon.
The video-on-demand service is free to all Dubai International Airport passengers for a trial period of two months. After that they will assess the success of the initiative (and hopefully, if lots of people use it, it will remain).
