The 150-metre-high icon is set to open next month, with tickets priced at Dhs50.

As we eagerly await the official opening of Dubai Frame next month, Dubai Municipality has given us a sneak peek inside the nearly-completed attraction.

In a video clip posted to the Dubai Municipality Facebook page, you can watch director-general Hussain Lootah taking a tour of the much awaited attraction as final preparations begin.

We’re given a glimpse at the futuristic lobby, an impressive museum and that much-anticipated view out across Downtown Dubai.

When it opens, tickets will be priced at Dhs50 for adults and Dhs30 for children. Access to Dubai Frame will be free for children under three, and people with disabilities (aka, people of determination). An exact opening date has still not been given.

The new landmark, located in Zabeel Park, was originally slated to open in 2015. After initial confirmation that it would open this month, it’s now set for January 2018 opening, a month after Dubai Safari.

Well, it looks as though the wait will be worth it. Here are some Instagram snaps that show how the picture-perfect attraction is coming along:

Dubai Frame will be managed by At The Top, the same people who run the Burj Khalifa’s observation deck experience.

A panoramic elevator will take visitors up to the glass bridge, where they can admire the views over old and new Dubai.

Another thing we know is that you won’t receive a paper ticket to get into the attraction (and subsequently paste in your scrapbook). Visitors will instead have to book through the website, or via an app.

When open, the structure is expected to attract two million visitors a year and join the list of Dubai’s must-see icons, alongside the likes of the Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab.

We can’t wait to get up there and enjoy what will surely be one of the best vantage points in the city.
