Confirmed: Tom Cruise is shooting Mission Impossible 6 in the UAE
The film is scheduled to be released in July 2018…
After what has been one of Hollywood’s worst-kept secrets, it’s been confirmed that Tom Cruise has indeed been filming Mission: Impossible – Fallout in Abu Dhabi.
Tongues started wagging when the movie star was snapped at the Dubai home of top media executive Ahmad Al Shaikh last month. According to Al Shaikh, the pair discussed “the best ways of making the UAE a hotspot and a magnet for global filmmaking”.

H.E. Maryam Eid Al Mheiri, CEO of Media Zone Authority Abu Dhabi and media & entertainment hub twofour54, said they were “delighted” to welcome Tom Cruise and other members of the cast and crew to Abu Dhabi.
“Through the combined efforts of Abu Dhabi Film Commission and twofour54, we have attracted yet another major Hollywood production to our emirate thanks to the incredible incentives we are able to offer, such as incredible locations, talented media professionals, world-class facilities and the generous 30 per cent rebate on production spend,” she said.
“Paramount Pictures is one of the world’s most renowned studios and twofour54 has supported their team throughout the shoot, ensuring that the process has been seamless.”
Al Mheiri added that Mission: Impossible – Fallout was the fifth Hollywood blockbuster to be filmed in Abu Dhabi.
It’s not the first time Cruise has shot a movie in the UAE, either.
Scenes for his 2011 hit Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol were filmed in the Dubai desert and the Burj Khalifa. Cruise was praised for doing the stunt on the Burj himself.
