E-commerce site Noon is now offering grocery delivery in the UAE
The ‘Market Day’ promotion launches with a 20 per cent discount at checkout…
E-commerce platform Noon.com is probably best known for its deals on electronics and apparel, and now the site has announced that it is branching out into a new area of business – grocery delivery.
The move was initially mentioned by founder Mohamed Alabbar in an interview with CNN last month, in which the prominent Emirati businessman said the site would begin offering grocery items to customers “over the course of the next six months”.
Well, it looks like things have progressed a little quicker than expected, as Noon has launched a ‘Market Day’ promotion that runs until Saturday, August 4 and offers a 20-per cent discount at checkout on all orders over Dhs100 made through the site or smartphone app.

Not all products under the ‘Grocery’ section of the site qualify for the discount, but the promotion still lists nearly 6,500 items across food, household supplies, beauty and health, and pet supplies so you’re bound to find more than a couple of good deals.
Noon isn’t the only major player to jump into the grocery delivery space in recent weeks. Hypermarket Carrefour has also recently begun offering free home deliveries across Dubai via its new CarrefourNow service.
