Huge Defected festival coming to Soho Beach

The one day festival will see mask wearing, German DJ Claptone headline…

Dubai is set to welcome another world famous festival later this year as Defected festival will head to Soho Beach on Friday November 2.

Headlining the huge one-day festival will be German DJ and EDM producer, Claptone. The mysterious DJ is known for his house and techno sounds, although keeps his own identity a mystery by usually performing in a gold beaked mask.

More artists are expected to join the line-up soon, so we can’t wait to see which other Defected artists are announced. Tickets go on sale on Sunday September 30, and will be priced from Dhs150.

Created by house music label Defected, the festival has toured all over the world, with the annual festival in Croatia known as one of Defected’s most iconic events. 

It’s not the first time Defected has come to Dubai. The label was last in the city in October 2017, bringing artists including Sam Devine and Sonny Fodera to d3 super club, Base.

We’ve got some big expectations for the festival, which follows on from Barcelona brand Elrow, which opened the super venue in February of this year, and Ibiza party legends ANTS, who also took over Soho Beach back in March. 

This time around, the party will kick off from midday poolside, and run until 12am.

It’s one of two big gigs recently announced by the Meydan nightlife complex Soho Garden. The venue has also revealed it’s set to host Chilean-Swiss DJ and producer Luciano on Friday October 26. The award-winning DJ will bring his party brand Vagabundos for the first time.
