Italian Venetian restaurant, all’onda, is inviting Italian fans to come and learn how to cook Venetian style every Saturday afternoon. Head Chef of all’onda, Ibraheem Musleh, will share his secrets to teach you all about Italian cooking techniques so you can create your own masterpiece in the kitchen.

The Promenade Park Hyatt
Cook around the world with The Promenade Park Hyatt, where the the class will take you on a journey from Italy to Thailand and the Middle East. Their next class is on Monday July 29 from 4pm to 6pm. It’s Dhs350 for soft drinks or Dhs525 including house drinks. After Monday’s class there won’t be any more during the summer, but keep your eyes peeled for the next ones later on in the year.

Based in an oh-so-pretty and slightly eclectic villa in Jumeirah, you could be forgiven for thinking you were perfecting your culinary skills at a friends house with a class at Top Chef. Predominantly a quaint little cafe in the heart of Jumeirah, Culinary Boutique offer up a range of incredible cake creations and light cafe bites. If you don’t just want to have your cake and eat it, they have over 100 culinary courses in Dubai for you to try your hand at. Fairmont The Palm
Perfect for small groups of friends or corporate team building days, of up to 12 people, The Chef’s Palette at Fairmont The Palm provides an intimate space in which to learn everything from the basics to seasonal menus to dinner party entertaining. Hosted by Michelin trained chef, Romain Van Durmen, there’s loads of classes to choose from, with two sessions starting from Dhs195 per person. There’s also a range of classes for kids.

Tanuki
If you just want to keep it cool and casual and whip up some of your own sushi, Tanuki do a great masterclass every Sunday from 7pm to 8pm for adults, priced at just Dhs99. There’s also a class on Saturdays from 4pm to 5pm for the mini-sushi lovers too, where little ones will be expertly guided by the chefs whilst they get stuck in and learn how to make their own colourful creations. Of course, you’ll get to eat whatever you make afterwards.

SCAFA
School of Culinary and Finishing Arts or SCAFA as they’re known, take a more serious approach to cooking classes with a school dedicated to the skill. They have both professional and amateur programmes, so there’s no reason to feel intimidated by the idea of a ‘school’. Amateur programmes include fundamentals of cuisine, mini master chef, world cuisine and cake decorating – so you’re bound to find something to try your hand at.

From pizza making to artisan courses, sugar craft and even gelato making, the International Centre for Culinary Arts has got so many classes to try whether you’re getting to know the basics, or training to become a professional chef. If you want to master the perfect flat white or cappuccino, you can attend their barista class. They even have a food presenter program, if you fancy making it big on TV.
