Don’t be surprised if you bump into a supermodel or two over dinner…

Longstanding New York hotspot Indochine is set to open it’s first franchise in Dubai this year. The French-Vietnamese restaurant and bar has been known for hosting the A listers of America since its opening in 1984, so we can’t wait to see who frequents their Dubai outpost.

The new venue will be managed by the team behind popular Jamaican restaurant Miss Lily’s Dubai, VKD Hospitality Group. This will be the group’s second venture, this time taking a spot in DIFC’s Gate Precinct Building 3, near to Caramel.

Indochine DXB launched their Instagram page this week, enticing followers with a taste of the restaurant’s concept and announcing that they would be opening ‘soon’. The page is adorned with the original venue’s infamous leaf print wallpaper.

The original Manhattan spot has been a go-to place for timeless icons such as Mick Jagger, Naomi Campbell and Andy Warhol, as well as more current day superstars including Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls and Amy Schumer.

As of yet, nothing has been revealed about the menu of the Dubai version but in New York the French-Vietnamese cuisine sounds drool-worthy. Vietnamese bouillabaisse is a serving of sea scallops, prawns, shrimp, baby squid and mussels while shaking beef offers diced sirloin sizzled on a hot plate with scallion and chilli.

While no opening date has been announced, we’re expecting Indochine DXB to open it’s doors within the next couple of months.
