HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, was snapped with UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov at Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex – a favourite among sporting celebrities.

Following a workout session at the sports complex, the mixed martial arts master took to Instagram to share a photograph of himself and Sheikh Hamdan. Khabib captioned the image: “It was good to see you after training my Friend ?”.

Khabib is not the only sporting legend who likes to work up a sweat at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in Dubai. This state-of-the-art sports centre draws the world’s sporting greats for workouts when they’re in town.

Will Smith

To be honest, this could have turned into a “All the celebrities Khabib has been snapped with at Nad Al Sheba”, as the Russian star seems to have embedded himself here. Just recently, he caught up with American actor Will Smith for a coffee at the sports centre.

Virgil van Dijk

And here he is with Liverpool centre-back and captain of the Netherlands team Virgil van Dijk, who used the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex as his training ground for six weeks over winter.

Joe Skipper

Ironman champion Joe Skipper has been training in Dubai for the past seven weeks. He’s frequently seen running and cycling at Nad Al Sheba.

The British Athletics team

The British Athletics team decamped to Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex for a winter training session. Athletes including Richard Kilty and Asheligh Nelson made full use of the centre’s track, gym and recovery facilities.

Pierre Gasly

French Formula 1 driver Pierre got race-ready for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, running the palm-lined track in one hour and 45 minutes.

Novak Djokovic

Tennis champ Novak Djokovic tested his hand-eye coordination during a session at Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex six months ago.
