Go green at these sustainable-awarded hotels in Dubai
Dubai is transforming itself into one of the most sustainable cities in the world…
For those of you who place a huge importance on sustainability in your life, it most likely extends beyond your home making its way into your choices of restaurants, shopping habits and even hotels.
Now Dubai has no shortage of hotels (and there’s more opening soon), and if you’re sticking to your sustainable living standards, pick one that has received an official sustainable tourism stamp of approval.
Dubai Tourism has awarded 70 hotels across the city for their green standards. The hotels range from two to five stars, budget to luxury, business to leisure, giving visitors and residents a sufficient number of choices for their plans.
All hotels had to fulfill 19 sustainability requirements to make the list. Some of the requirements include employee training, energy management plans, food purchasing management and much more. Based on their scores, the hotels were awarded bronze, silver or gold stamps.

If one of your favourite hotels didn’t make the list this time, don’t worry. The hotel will have the chance to win the stamp next year. As for the hotels currently on the list, they will have to stick to their green ways to win the stamp again. This ensures that the hotels stay sustainable and even showcase to other hotels that green is the way to go moving forward.
