What’s On teams up with Hype to profile cool underground clubs in Dubai ahead of Party In The Park and the Hype Clubhouse in Media City.

Ten of the best underground clubs in Dubai will come together for the Hype Clubhouse at Party In The Park, on Friday, November 14. All week we’ve been profiling the DJs and club nights taking to the decks throughout the day, giving you the lowdown and links to their tunes.

And the promoters and DJs are as excited as we all are for this clubbing showcase.

“Weekends in Dubai are now an explosion of cool events,” says Superheroes promoter Sean Rutherford. “The Hype Clubhouse will capture the spirit of the scene fantastically.” Bassworx’ Tim Woodstock claims: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to get together with Dubai’s top DJs and be part of the first mixed-genre underground event.” “It’s all about spreading the music we love and showing that promoters can work together,” reasons GlobalFunk’s Ben McDonald. “Dubai and the UAE needs exposure to different genres of dance music and where better to showcase it?”

Deep Crates’ Lobito Brigante agrees it’s an ideal opportunity to “support the proliferation of underground culture”, while Analog Room promoter Mehdi Ansari is relishing the chance to “gather with fellow promoters and make contact with more music lovers”.

With our ‘perfect ten’ on board, it’s gonna be one helluva party. From kick-off to kick-out, the Hype Clubhouse will be rockin’.

If a little bit of what you fancy does you good, then you’re in for a mighty fine time, with house, tech-house, funk, soul, reggae, hip-hop, garage, UK bass, techno, drum ‘n’ bass and more all on the musical menu to get you movin’ and groovin’. Expect back-to-back sets, some old school turntablist skills (yay!); and a b-boy battle that’ll make your jaw drop.

There is also the Hype Village, which will be a bustling community of everything we consider great, good, gorgeous and a little bit out-there – just the way we like it. So expect eye-popping demonstrations, cool market stalls and fun and games.
